How to Guide

It’s so easy to use the ClassiBaltic Classifieds ! This “How to” Guide will give you some helpful pointers if you’re just starting out.

You can start placing Ads, or arrange to buy items as soon as you have registered and logged in!

1. HOW TO REGISTER

The first step to using the ClassiBaltic Classifieds section is to register/join. Whilst you can browse the website without needing to be registered, you will need to be logged in to place an Ad or to contact a seller about an Ad. To join, click on the “Register” button located in the top right-hand corner of the ClassiBaltic Classifieds page and complete the information required.

2. HOW TO PLACE AN AD / LISTING

To place an Ad, simply log in, and click on the “Post an Ad” button located next to the site navigation menu. Follow the on screen instructions to complete your listing information as well as insert any relevant images/photos. Be sure to complete all fields marked with a *, including the relevant category for your item.
Notes:

* Your listing will allow an interested buyer to contact you whilst keeping your e-mail address private until you reply to them.
* Please ensure that your e-mail address is one you actively use, as this is how the buyers will contact you.
* The maximum image size is 1MB, if your photo(s) are larger than this, they will not upload correctly.

You will see a confirmation message stating your Ad has been Submitted Successfully when the new listing is done.

If for any reason you need to edit/update your listing – you can access your Ads within the “My Dashboard” screen (see notes below; “4. How to update your Ads and User Profile”). For any other help, please contact us

3. HOW TO BUY / ASK ABOUT ITEMS FOR SALE

If you are interested in a particular item listed in the ClassiBaltic Classifieds, there are 3 ways which you can get in contact with the seller;

1. Within the Ad information screen, the seller may have listed a contact phone number which you can use.
2. You can submit a comment on any Ad by scrolling to the bottom of the Ad page. Here you can type your comment/question into the text box and then click on the “submit comment” button. The seller will be notified of any comments placed on their Ad. Please note, you will need to be logged in to be able to do this.
3. You can send an e-mail to the seller by using the contact form located to the right-hand side of the ad screen. Please note, you need to be logged in to be able to do this.

All arrangements to purchase the item(s) are made between the buyer and the seller directly. Please refer to the ClassiBaltic Classifieds Terms of Use for further details.
Notes:

* Unless stated as otherwise by the seller, the items listed on ClassiBaltic Classifieds should be assumed to be pre-loved items.
* Unless stated as otherwise by the seller, it should be assumed that postage/delivery costs are separate to the asking price of any item listed for sale and are payable by the buyer.

4. HOW TO UPDATE YOUR ADS AND USER PROFILE

When you are a registered user, you can access the “My Profile” and “My Dashboard” pages which are found via links in the top right-hand corner of the screen next to your username. Here you can access the following features:

* My Profile – is where you can update your password and other information for other members to see.
* To update your password, look for the “Edit Profile” link under the “User Options” on the right hand side of the screen. This page will allow you to enter your new password details
* My Dashboard – shows a list of all of your ClassiBaltic Ads where you can edit, or pause/restart your Ads.
* Currently, as there isn’t a feedback system in place, could we please ask that if you have sold an item listed, that you change the header of the ad to say *SOLD* instead of pausing the ad. Thank you.

When another member clicks on your username within any of the Ads you have listed, they can see your profile photo (if any), and a list of your other Ads.

5. HOW TO REPORT A USER

Should you have any issues with another member in relation to a negative trade experience, please contact us. Complaints will be taken seriously and members will be banned if found to be detrimental to this community.
